As the 2019 year comes to a close Waikanae FC are looking for volunteers to come forward for vacancies heading into 2020.
The Club extends its heartfelt thanks to Treasurer Tom Engelen and Junior Convenor Greg Overton who are vacating their posts after making a valuable and much appreciated contribution to the Club over the past year (or years for Tom).
As well as their posts new vacancies have been created for an Administrator, a Social Media officer and a Fundraising Officer.
Nominations for executive committee members should be submitted to the Secretary prior to the Club’s AGM on November 24th however the committee will consider any applications to fill vacancies at any time of the year in accordance with the constitution. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to further their skills and experience in sports administration, or simply give something back to the Club and their local community.
As well as committee members the Club seeks expressions of interest for coaching positions within the Club, notably our Reserves team which plays in Capital 4 division. Again this is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their coaching skills with the support offered by our First team set up plus a committee willing to contribute toward your coaching certifications.
